Card #62 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I just wanted to make one more
card for the interesting  challenge
The stamp set for this card is:
Stampin UP: Beautiful You
I'm not very good at all with a ruler, so I just eyeballed
this sketch and then used a pencil to draw on the DSP
a few of the shapes, then I cut them out and glued them
down,  it looked a little plain since I didn't mat them, so
I used my marker to outline the edges.  I stamped
the young lady on DSP as well, so I wouldn't have to color
in her dress,  I love the contrast of the yellow against
the background paper.
I added a few little heart embellishments because
that corner appeared a little blank to me.
Here is a lovely lily from my garden.
I'm into drawing and writing out scripture verses
for a lovely fb group.  I'm no artist but it's been a fun experience.
I think I might just start sharing more of my journal here
and on Instagram.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 118:24 NKJV
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Card #61 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I took a different approach with the
challenge today.  I used my brick embossing folder, and
then I sponged gray in the pattern of the sketch at
It was a bit intimidating this sketch, but I was
eager to play along.
The stamp sets I used for this card are:
Stampin up:
Mediterranean Moments
Forever Grapevine
I thought the cute little out door dining area would work
perfect against the backdrop of a brick wall with vines.
I always imagine it will be a peaceful cobblestone
street where you could sip a nice ice tea and take in
a good book or the gorgeous scenery.

Speaking of gorgeous, here is a lovely peony bloom
from my garden.
Our little Patriot pup is doing his begging.
Today would have been Hunter's 14th birthday,
we miss him everyday, but so grateful to have another
springer to love.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 16:24 NKJV
Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

Card #60 for 2025

Dear Blog readers,
I turned this little card into a quick Father's day card.
I had this ole handy man card I made a bazillion years
ago and I just didn't like how it looked so I ripped it apart to
use only the nice pieces, and added it to the inside of this card.
My dad is quite the handy man indeed.  He can fix anything.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up
Impressions abloom
color & contour
sweet jar
Placing that bow was the most difficult part. Wink
here is a picture of the top part of the card on the inside.
with the added "handy man" piece.
Patriot pup has been quite a little handful as usual.
my friend described him perfectly.  He's a toddler.
Into everything.  sigh.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Phil.  4:6 NKJV
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Card #59 for 2025

Dear blog readers,
I made this fun flag day/Birthday card for my dad.
I think a flag day birthday is so neat much like
a fourth of July Birthday.  In fact our little pup
is a fourth of July puppy, and believe me he is a little
fire cracker.   We should of named him Sparky, instead
of Patriot.  haha
I usually try to remember to incorporate something
patriotic for my dad's birthday card.  So there it is.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin up:
Background basics
Light the sky
Layered thoughts
Repeat impression:  God bless America flag

I tried to weed my garden again, it's been slow going
with my back being out.  But summer is swiftly moving along
and I need to get this garden going.
Here's the little 11 month old playing under the chairs,
waiting to chase his shadow again.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 9:11 NKJV
For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.

Card #58 for 2025

Dear blog readers,
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Scenic Adventure
Spring Corners
I naturally had a few smudges, since I broke my glasses,
and couldn't see very well without them, the trees on
the inside even look a tad crooked, but I'm saying that's nature,
and leaving it as is.
Does anyone else have a hard time cutting on angles?
Might be just me.  But I don't stop trying.
Made little yellow flowers to match the the home of
the person I intend to send this card too.

I assembled our taco seasoning today, made a huge
mess in the kitchen. but it's worth it.
I noticed I am getting strawberries in my garden
what a delightful surprise.  Glory to GOD.
I'm a bit late with all my other seeds this year,
since puppy and his surgery we've had our hands full.
Speaking of Patriot, he is officially 11 months
old today.
On his favorite chair.
Make a wish little fella.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 52:7 NKJV
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”

Card #57 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I have been absent for a while, because of this
little pup, and then I injured my back.  We are both
on the mend.  Praise the LORD, but a ways to go yet.
I am also thinking since I closed down my Etsy shop,
I'm just not stamping as much, My Husband's new job
and so many hours, has us both drained, financially and
emotionally.   Any ways I was able to make this simple card
so I will enter it in the challenge at:

The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Earthen Textures
By my Side
I love how stamping the image on DSP and then cutting
out the clothes gives the card such a happy designer look.
I forgot to add glossy accents to the glasses so they appear real.  OOPS

Memorial Day is a solemn occasion,
a time for reflection and remembrance of all those who
made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States military.
YOU are not forgotten.  Thank you.
Patriot pup is quite patriotic.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Here he is playing with his bone outside.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Cor 1:4 NKJV
I thank my God always concerning you for the
grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

Card #56 for 2025

Dearest blog readers, I made this card
for my darling.  Yesterday we celebrated our
33rd wedding anniversary.
I will enter the card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up
Dance with me
Forever blossoms
Best birds
I stamped the images down and colored them.  I also
stamped the images on DSP and then cut out the dress
and shirt to give a little something extra to the outfits.
I made sure to color the couple's hair gray to match
my hubby and myself.  haha  I'm sure my darling
appreciated that.
WE have little love birds that made their nest
in our wreath on the front door.  So now we have
little babies out there and a whole mess on the door
and the wreath.. but I don't want to move them,
I have to knock each day so I can open my door to get
my mail. Wait for her to leave and then quickly open and
snap a picture of the littles.  they are growing fast.
The little pup is still struggling with that amputated
dew claw.  A few more days on medicine, we are leaving
it unbandaged today to see how it goes.  His obsession with
licking it, is quite a challenge.
I found this lovely picture for our anniversary.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Gen 2:24NKJV
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be[a] joined to his wife,
and they shall become one flesh.
